Sonnet 106 – Wake Me With Kisses
Wake me with kisses, Love. The time for rest
has passed and we shouldn’t waste these bright hours
on sleep. Lean in to me, let one white breast
weigh upon my heart as promised pleasures
stir me. Let one hand trail along my arm
as you begin to whisper love to me.
Use your lips and tongue to move me, let warm
words rouse me, make me eager and hungry
to please you. Hold me with your eyes, as well
as with your arms – let me lose myself to
the fire that only I have found there. Tell
me that you want me, that no part of you
is closed to me, that we two should be one.
I never want to wake alone again.
